Zoggs has pledged to support this year’s Swimathon, the world’s biggest fundraising swim, as part of Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games 2014.
The swimwear label, as official brand partner to the event, will supply swimming caps to all participants and promote the swim at over 600 pools throughout the UK.
Zoggs will also introduce limited-edition Sport Relief swimming goggles in red and white. For every pair sold, Zoggs will donate £1 to Sport Relief.
UK marketing manager David Annand said: “It’s a perfect fit for Zoggs as we are passionate about swimming, so being able to get involved in an event like this is one the whole swimming community in the UK can get behind.”
The Swimathon will see thousands of swimmers challenging themselves through 5k, 2.5K and 1.5k individual challenges while raising money for Sport Relief. Swimmers also have the option to take part in team challenges or SimplySwim, which allows them to swim in their own time, at any venue.
Zoggs is a regular supporter of sports-related charity campaigns. In 2013, the brand became the official corporate partner for the Aspire Channel Swim for the third year in a row.
Aspire is a 12 week challenge that supports people with spinal cord injuries.
