Swimwear brand Zoggs is supporting swimmer Dave Cornthwaite with his SWIM 1000 challenge to raise £100,000 for breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel.
Zoggs has supplied Dave with a range of swimwear and swimming equipment to see him and his crew through the 1000 mile swim down the Missouri between Chamberlain, South Dakota and St Louis, Missouri.
Cornthwaite, who isn’t a seasoned swimmer, will be towing and pushing his equipment on a raft under the watchful eye of his team who will be paddling the full distance with him on stand up paddleboards.
When asked why he’s undertaken the Missouri River SWIM 1000 challenge, Cornthwaite said: “My mum got me some swimming goggles for Christmas and that’s why I’m doing this journey. That’s how simple it is, one little spark and we’re having a huge adventure”
Zoggs has since supplemented Cornthwaite’s Christmas present with some Predator Flex Polarized goggles, swimwear, water bottles, fins, nose clips and ear plugs.

CoppaFeel!’s aim is to stamp out late detection and misdiagnosis of breast cancer by ensuring that women know the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, as well as know what their boobs look and feel like normally.
The organisation urges women to check their boobs regularly throughout their lifetime and have the confidence to seek medical referral if they detect any changes.
