Wonderbra awarded CoolBrand status

Wonderbra has officially been named a CoolBrand for the second time, in an influential annual initiative to identify the UK’s coolest brands.

The lingerie brand made the list after fighting off competition from over 10,000 brands.

CoolBrands status was awarded after a combination of 2,000 consumers and a panel of 36 designers, style experts, media personalities and prominent figures from the world of TV, fashion and music, cast their vote on which brands most Brits wish to own.

Helping compile the ‘barometer of cool,’ this year, were the likes of Jessie J, Lisa Snowdon, Rob Da Bank and Sadie Frost. The team took into consideration factors such as style, innovation, originality, authenticity and uniqueness.

Wonderbra marketing manager Martina Alexander said: “We are very proud and excited to be awarded CoolBrand status again. We continually strive to appeal to our audience with exciting campaigns and innovative products so it’s great to be awarded this status by consumers and panel votes.”

CoolBrands Expert Council chairman Stephen Cheliotis added: “Cool is subjective and personal, but Wonderbra has been identified as a CoolBrand by the British public and a panel of influential opinion formers based on a wide criteria of factors. It is a huge achievement and implies it is a brand that most Brits wish to own. Wonderbra is clearly delivering cool in the eyes of consumers and influencers alike.”

The CoolBrands survey has been compiled annually since 2001. The results are published every September. More information can be found at CoolBrandsUK.com.
