Austrian label Wolford will present a new collection concept for AW15/16.
Based on the works of American photographer and psychologist Cliff Briggie, whose images capture the harmonious merging of water, colour and ice, the new collection has three themes; Sensitivity, Vitality and Elegance.
Light, uncomplicated materials that feel like a second skin define the Sensitivity theme, to be delivered in June. Products are minimalist and translucent, giving them a seductive feel, while the colour palette consists of muted tones, such as light brown and peach.
The Vitality theme is centred on a modern, striped design, which plays on opaque elements. Matt styles have been designed in subdued, yet rich shades of blue, grey and green.
Dramatic red and classic black define the look for the Elegance theme, particularly with stockings in various deniers, as well as luxury bodywear. Matt materials are contrasted against shimmering fabrics, and lavish embellishments, including luxurious lace and Swarovski elements, enhance the look.
Wolford is shifting its focus back to its roots with an emphasis on legwear, lingerie and bodywear, with clothing and accessories complementing the product group.
Creative director Grit Seymour said: “For AW15/16, we concentrate on our core competences – we rewind to fast forward. Legwear is at the heart of our core competence, followed by lingerie and bodywear. The collection approach is all about harmonizing the whole range.”
