Winners of the 2014 UK Lingerie Awards revealed

The winners of the 2014 UK Lingerie Awards, in association with Wacoal Eveden, were revealed as a sparkling ceremony at the Freemasons’ Hall in London tonight.

Tesco, which is now firmly established as a major fashion store thanks to its F&F range, was crowned Multiple Retailer of the Year, while Chantelle took home the much-coveted Lingerie Brand of the Year.

In the popular People’s Choice Awards, voted for by the public, Ultimo was named the UK’s Favourite British Designer while Debenhams was crowned the UK’s Favourite Linger Retailer of the Year and the title of the UK’s Favourite Lingerie Brand of the Year went to Gossard.

A special Lifetime Achievement Award was given out to Ann Summers CEO Jacqueline Gold. Jacqueline was singled out for her impressive career in the lingerie industry, which began at the age of 21 when she transformed her father’s business to create a brand which focused on women, allowing them to shop for lingerie and adult toys in a safe, female-friendly environment.

Thirty years after her first pitch to the Ann Summers board to launch a party plan, the business is now a true multi-channel retailer.

More than 450 lingerie insiders and fans rubbed shoulders with a sparkling celebrity guest list at the event, which was hosted by Georgia Jones, former Miss England and wife of McBusted frontman Danny Jones.

Sarah Blackman, editor of the Award’s organiser business magazine Lingerie Insight, said: "This year’s list of winners demonstrates the talent, creativity and sheer determination that can be found within the UK lingerie industry. I know, from speaking to each of the winners individually, how hard they work throughout the year and tonight has quite rightly recognised what they have achieved.

"I would like to congratulate our winners, and indeed all of our finalists, and wish them every success in the year ahead.”
