WGSN senior editor for Intimates and Swim Katie Atkinson has joined the 2015 judging panel for the UK Lingerie Awards.
Atkinson will meet with other leading industry experts in Central London next week to judge this year’s brand categories, including Lingerie Brand of the Year and Swimwear Brand of the Year.
Other judges include Rigby & Peller chief lingerie stylist Kelly Dunmore, Figleaves head of buying Jenni Burt, John Lewis lingerie buyer Nancy Szachno-Dressel and Fenwick Bond Street hosiery buyer Sue Harrisson.
Based in London, Atkinson joined WGSN in October 2014 after working for Stylesight on forecast reports for three years.
Her in-depth knowledge of the intimates and swimwear market comes from working as a designer at esteemed retailers, including H&M in Stockholm, where she designed lingerie and nightwear, ASOS and La Senza.

There are 21 Award categories this year, 17 of which will be judged two separate panels of leading intimate apparel experts.
One panel, comprised of retailers, buyers and trend forecasters, will meet on October 6 to assess the brand categories and choose their winners.
The second panel, made up of brands and agents, will judge the four retail categories, including Department Store of the Year, Multiple Retailer of the Year, Independent Retailer of the Year and Digital Retailer of the Year.
Any judge who works for a nominated company was not allowed to vote in that category.
