MarediModa, the international trade fair dedicated to lingerie and beachwear textiles, has teamed up with trend forecasting authority WGSN and the New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, to present SS18 trends at this year’s exhibition.
The NABA team, composed of fashion design students, and WGSN will be joined by fashion consultant David Shah in curating the MarediModa Trend Board 2016.
WGSN will conduct a survey to unearth four macro trends for beachwear and two for underwear. The NABA team will then develop and complete the trend forecasting with more specific suggestions and tips going into each trend in depth.
The valuable contribution of Shah will help define trends 2018 in terms of style and colours, organisers report.
The project will start with a round table of all participants coordinated by MarediModa. The event will take place at NABA Headquarters in Milan.
MarediModa Trend Board Forecasting will be presented in Como and Barcelona in May. Companies exhibiting at MarediModa will use this information to create collections, which will be presented in Cannes from 8-10 November 2016.
