Lingerie brand Wacoal has roared to victory, scooping an award for its intimate apparel designs from one of the leading trade show organisers for the lingerie, hosiery, nightwear and swimwear sectors.
Wacoal will be named the Designer of the Year by Eurovet at Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris next January.
The brand, which falls under the Wacoal Europe umbrella along with Fantasie, Freya, Elomi, Goddess and b.tempt’d, will be recognised for its “highly creative design and innovative product”.
Sachi Wakashiro, Wacoal lingerie director, said: “We are delighted that Wacoal has been awarded Designer of the Year and I would like to thank everyone at Eurovet as well as our customers and suppliers for their continued support.
“We are constantly pushing the boundaries of Wacoal’s product development and always looking at how we can apply new technology into our design – using the most innovative fabrics and techniques. We have received a fantastic reaction to our Sexy Shaping range, a shapewear collection which really is unique to the market.
