Victoria’s Secret unveils $2 million Fantasy Bra for 2017 fashion show

Victoria’s Secret has unveiled its highly-anticipated Fantasy Bra, designed by luxury jeweller Mouawad.

The Champagne Nights Fantasy Bra, valued at $2 million (£1.5 million), is handset with nearly 6,000 white diamonds, yellow sapphires and blue topazes totalling over 640 karat, all set in 18 yellow karat gold.

Brazilian model Lais Ribeiro has been chosen to wear the Fantasy Bra at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which will take place in Shanghai later this month.

Ribeiro follows in the footsteps of other Victoria’s Secret Angels who have modelled Mouawad Fantasy Bras over the years, including Lily Aldridge, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Selita Ebanks, Gisele Bündchen, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, and Karolina Kurkova.

Mouawad forged a partnership with Victoria’s Secret in 2001 and has designed 10 Fantasy Bras since then, one of which ― the 2003 Very Sexy Fantasy Bra ― was awarded a Guinness World Record for being the most expensive bra ever made.

The Very Sexy bra was valued at $11 million (£8.3 million).
