US retailer Victoria’s Secret is to open four outlets in Russia, this month, with its first store scheduled to launch on September 30 in the Mega Shopping Centre at Tyoply Stan.
The second will open three days later in Moscow’s Kapitoly shopping centre and the third a month later in Mega Khimki.
The final outlet is predicted to open at the Ebropeisky shopping centre in central Moscow by the end of the year. A special concept will reportedly set the Russian stores apart from their US counterparts.
Darya Yadernaya, head of the analytical department at the fashion industry service provider Esper Group, told Russian newspaper Vedomosti: “The trademark is doomed to success in Russia – the brand is well known in Russia and many consumers already have experience of buying it abroad.
“Budget and lower middle segments of the market have currently the best prospects for growth today.”
Victoria’s Secret recently launched in the Middle East and is set to open its first stores in the UK in 2012.
The company has started looking for a general manager to run an outlet in Central/West London and is looking to offer a competitive salary, plus excellent benefits.
