Victoria’s Secret says no to post-surgery bra

Victoria’s Secret has stated it will not create a bra for women who’ve undergone mastectomies, despite public outcry.

American Allana Maiden began an online petition calling on the lingerie company to release a post-surgery bra after being inspired by her mother, a breast cancer survivor of 21 years.

The petition attracted over 130,000 signatures, but Victoria’s Secret declined to act, saying manufacturing and fitting bras for customers who have had mastectomies would be too difficult.

However, the company did say it would support customers fighting cancer by continuing to make donations to medical research.
