Vanilla Blush YouTube video pushes the boundaries

Vanilla Blush CEO Nicola Dames has dedicated a short film the company has made called ‘Sexy and Stoma’ to ‘World Ostomy Day’.

The film, which can be viewed here, has already had 1,400 views since it was published on Saturday 2 October, when World Ostomy Day took place.

Dames said that the video, which features Iggy Pop’s Lust for Life as the soundtrack, would help raise awareness of the subject. All the models in the film have either a colostomy, an ileostomy or a urostomy.

“I am proud to dedicate this risque, pushing-the-boundaries, up-beat and cutting-edge one-minute film on inclusion — which focuses on sexuality and living with a Stoma — to World Ostomy Day,” she said, adding that it was a “short film with a large impact”.

“There is a global network of great people who have gone through the traumatic surgery which leads to either a colostomy, ileostomy or urostomy. It is a life-changing experience but intimacy still matters."

The release of Vanilla Blush’s video comes just a few weeks after Lingerie Insight reported that 2015 BAFTA award winner, Jake Martin, has opened talks with the brand about editing an advert for the brand next year.

“I’m delighted to reveal there are talks in the pipeline on us working together at some point in the near future, and so now it’s a case of pinning down a time, date and place,” said Martin. “I am a big fan of the work done by Vanilla Blush, everything they do, which of course includes their cutting-edge media work.”
