Post-surgery lingerie brand Vanilla Blush has secured £50,000 in funding after wowing the judges at the Scottish EDGE final.

Nicola Dames, CEO of the Glasgow based label, made her pitch at the RBS Conference Centre in Edinburgh yesterday.

She was among 22 finalists who have gone through several rounds of gruelling assessment by high profile entrepreneurs in Scotland.

Vanilla Blush, which specialises in lingerie and swimwear for people who have had a colostomy or ileostomy, plans to use the cash injection to employ more members of staff.

Speaking after the event, Dames said: “This £50,000 is not just for Vanilla Blush, it is for Scotland, the UK, and all people around the globe who so happen to have an ostomy.”
