A Scottish politician has become a non-executive director for post-operative lingerie and swimwear brand Vanilla Blush.
Thomas Rannachan, a former Labour candidate for Glasgow Shettleston has taken up his new position with the global brand with immediate effect.
Commenting on his new role, Rannachan said: “I am delighted to have been appointed a Non-Excutive Director of Vanilla Blush, a company which puts people before profits.”
“Vanilla Blush is a global brand but its heart is very much in the east end of Glasgow. All the employees in its two stores live in the east end, and at the same time we have people applying from abroad trying to get work.”
Former MP and present Member of the Scottish Parliament, Anas Sarwar, welcomed the move. He said: “It is great news to hear that Vanilla Blush has just appointed its first new non-executive director, Thomas Rannachan.
“It is a sign of the continued success and growth of a company that bridges people with profit, private enterprise with public service, ethical business with good business.”
