Belgian lingerie maker Van de Velde expects its wholesale turnover in the first half of the year to rise by more than 8%.
The company said this is due to the successful launch of PrimaDonna Swim in February and a strong growth in its Andres Sarda lingerie collection.
“Follow-up orders in May and June will determine what wholesale turnover is precisely achieved,” the company said.
In the UK, multiple retailer Rigby & Peller has experienced strong like-for-like growth compared with the previous year.
But, like-for-like sales at Intimacy continued to fall in the first quarter of 2014.
In February, Van de Velde said it will examine the value of carrying the American brand after sales in the company dropped by 12% in 2013.
