Bella Unique, a new lingerie retailer has been opened in Leyland by a 20-year-old University of Central Lancashire student.
Emily Potts believes that a personal service is central to lingerie retail and highlighted how she is fully qualified to measure bust and offer a bra fitting service to customers.
Basic lace, boudoir lace and French lace brands are stocked on site, all which are within Fairtrade rules.
The young retailer noted that she intends to launch underwear parties and bridal shows and hopes to stock “something special” for Valentines gifts and Mother’s day.
Potts told the Lancashire Evening Post: “I have worked in retail all my adult life, as well as studying. I thought I’d give it a whirl.”
“There is a niche market out there. A lot of people don’t want to go to a supermarket for their underwear and be served by a random assistant. Underwear is an intimate thing and customers should be offered the VIP experience.”
She noted how she aims to offer premium personal service and the site is child friendly for mothers who have their children in tow.
Potts’ next move is to start selling special satin night gowns in preparation for Christmas.
