UKTI Competition encourages businesses in China

Companies in England’s North East have a new opportunity to expand their market reach with the Access China Competition 2013, sponsored by Emirates Airlines, Norma Foster Ltd., and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

Open to all companies in the North East seeking to offer their goods or services in China, the winner will receive a return economy class ticket from Newcastle to Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou or Shanghai on Emirates, a financial contribution to China specific market research (Overseas Market Introduction Service – OMIS) and one day Export Communication Review from Norma Foster Ltd.

The winner will also receive assistance from the services of UKTI’s China Business Development Manager, Dr Zhengming Yang, ensuring their strategy will be properly implemented abroad.

Applications for the competition must be submitted by June 3rd, 2013. Judges will evaluate entrants on several criteria, including market entry strategy, newness to the Chinese market, potential for export growth, previous track record and evidence to support export sales growth, according to the official UKTI website.
