The shapewear category is in rude health at the moment, so picking a winner from the shortlisted finalists was always going to be a tough call.
In the end, the judges opted for Spanx after it wowed them with its designs and market growth.
Launched just 15 years ago by Sara Blakely, Spanx has become one of the most well-known brands in the intimate apparel world – so much so that it has become almost synonymous with shapewear.
With a focus on wardrobe woes, the brand has grown to offer bras, underwear, jeans, activewear and more.
In the last 12 months, Spanx has also launched its first colour range.
UKLA judges were impressed by the brand’s commercial success, but also the quality of its garments, which have become more lightweight and fashionable over the years.
Shortlisted finalists in the Shapewear Brand of the Year category included ITEM m6, Maidenform, Miraclesuit and Wolford.
