In a hard-fought category closely contested by five leading brands, Wolford emerged victorious as the Hosiery Brand of the Year.
Over the past two years, Wolford has undergone a strategic restructure, discontinuing its swimwear collection so that legwear, which represents 53% of its global business, became the DNA of the brand.
The move has helped UK managing director Angela Blundell concentrate on introducing new collections to key accounts, such as Selfridges and House of Fraser.
Based on its circular knitting technique, Wolford has produced garments that give the wearer the unique feeling of slipping into a ‘second skin’.
Best-selling styles include the Pure 50 tights, with its barely visible seams and extra-wide waistband.
Shortlisted finalists in the Hoisery Brand of the Year category also included Jonathan Aston, Nubian Skin, Oroblu and Pretty Polly.
