UKLA Profiles: Maison Close reflects on 2013 win

Maison Close said that being crowned Boudoir Brand of the Year at the 2013 UK Lingerie Awards has helped raise its profile around the world.

Immediately after the ceremony, which took place in December last year, the French brand publicised the win in its lookbooks, on its website and through social media.

“This brought Maison Close great visibility in the press, not only in the UK, but worldwide,” said Maison Close spokesperson Laurence Escallier-Lachaup.

“Furthermore, the award represents a stamp of approval which has allowed us to increase our credibility in front of buyers and competitors. For instance, Maison Close is about to be made available on ASOS in the UK.”

Maison Close has been named a finalist in the Boudoir Brand of the Year category for the 2014 UK Lingerie Awards, held in association with Wacoal Eveden.

“We are very happy to be finalists again in this year’s awards, it shows that Maison Close’s wins was not a one-shot strike of luck, but a well deserved, long-run achievement," added Laurence Escallier-Lachaup.

The French brand will host a catwalk show to open this year’s awards ceremony, which will take place at Covent Garden’s Freemason’s Hall on December 3.
