The winner of the Fit & Styling award 2018 is Bustles Boutique.
In 2017, Bustles Boutique founders Allison Hawkins and Teresa Gibson opened the Lingerie Lounge, a new space built specifically for the requirements of pre- and post-surgery clientele.
The Lingerie Lounge provides a relaxing, non-clinical environment where ladies can be fitted by industry-trained experts.
It is also offered as a space for the community to use, whether that is for support groups, a meeting place for a local walking club or a haven to promote health and well-being.
Southend’s Mayor Fay Evans attended the store on September 29 to open the Lingerie Lounge. This coincided with the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, organised by Macmillan Cancer Support.
Another initiative set up by Bustles in the last 12 months is the Bra Jar, a bra-saving scheme for lingerie-loving consumers. The Bra Jar is designed to help customers save up for their next bra and build their lingerie wardrobe.
Accepting this prestigious award, which recognises first-rate fit and styling services, Teresa and Allison said: “This is absolutely amazing, it’s the second year running that we have won Style & Fit, it’s a real privilege because it means so much to us to fit and style our customers. Also, for our staff as well, we are a new business so this is down to our staff, so hats off to them because they help us fit our customers.”
