UK Lingerie Awards supports design students

The UK Lingerie Awards is supporting the next generation of lingerie designers by offering discounted tickets to fashion students.

The country’s two premier lingerie design courses, at the London College of Fashion and De Montford University in Leicester, are already scooping up tickets to be part of the industry’s biggest night of the year.

"We want to give these students the opportunity to mix with the biggest intimate apparel brands who are likely to be their future employers," explains Sarah Blackman, editor of Lingerie Insight which hosts the UK Lingerie Awards in association with Wacoal Eveden.

This year’s UK Lingerie Awards will be bigger than ever thanks to the addition of a catwalk show featuring the latest collections from Maison Close.

The Awards and catwalk show take place in the Grand Temple of Freemasons’ Hall – a historic space that has been used by some of the world’s biggest fashion designers for London Fashion Week Shows.

"Students and all other guests at the UK Lingerie Awards are going to witness a show that puts our industry on a global stage. The awards and catwalk show will attract media attention from around the world, so it is an event that nobody with an interest in intimate apparel can afford to miss," says Andrew Martyniuk, event director for the UK Lingerie Awards.
