UK Lingerie Awards doubles in size for 2013

The UK Lingerie Awards, the most exciting annual celebration of the lingerie, swimwear and intimate apparel industries, will be opened up to the lingerie-loving public for the first time this December, doubling in size at a stunning new venue.

The Awards, which since its inception in 2011 has become a must-attend event for the intimates industry, will be transformed from a trade event for 300 people to a consumer extravaganza in which up to 600 people – from celebrities and consumer press to lingerie executives and members of the public – will fete this glamorous industry with a huge party.

“In previous years, we have had to turn away requests from the public, who have been desperate to join the party,” said Marianne Trotta, commercial manager for the UK Lingerie Awards. "This year we will welcome them in to join the fun."

The new venue, the iconic Freemasons’ Hall, is a Grade II listed Art Deco masterpiece in the heart of London’s Covent Garden.
The scale and configuration of the venue will allow the UK Lingerie Awards to transform from a sit-down dinner for 300 to a cocktails-and-canapés party for 600, followed by a theatre-style awards presentation. The change of format for the evening has allowed for ticket prices to be halved since last year.

The date of the UK Lingerie Awards has also moved from September to the first week of December, making it an early Christmas celebration in the company of the ultra-glamorous lingerie crowd.
The nomination process will begin in August, with details to be released nearer to that time.

“The best night of the UK lingerie calendar just got so much bigger and better. We’re doubling the fun and halving the price of tickets so that so many more people can join us for the greatest celebration of the year,” promised Trotta.
