UK Lingerie Awards 2013 tickets selling out fast

The announcement of finalists for the 2013 UK Lingerie Awards in association with Fashion Forms has driven a surge in ticket sales for the ceremony and party on December 4.

With just 47 days to go before the biggest night of the year for the British intimate apparel industry, the country’s biggest lingerie brands, retailers and buyers are snapping up the £75 tickets.

“We had a spike in sales on Monday when the names of finalists were released,” revealed UK Lingerie Awards event director Marianne Trotta. “We encourage everybody to book their tickets very soon to ensure they do not miss out on the excitement of this party,” she added.

The UK Lingerie Awards is being held at Freemasons’ Hall, the headquarters of the secret society in London’s Covent Garden.

The night will start with a celebrity-studded red carpet entrance, followed by a reception with a sensational live band, canapés and bowl food, free bubbly, wine, beers and soft drinks; and a special cocktail bar created by a leading London nightclub.

“Unlike previous UK Lingerie Awards ceremonies where people had to sit at tables all night with the same people, we have changed the format of the night so that people can mingle all night with everybody else from the industry,” explained Trotta. “Fear not thought, there will be plenty of free food and drink all night to make sure this is the most memorable party of the year,” she added.

Leg Avenue is sponsoring a photo booth that will allow everybody to have their picture taken. These pictures can be taken away on the night, but will also be shared with the world via social media sites including Facebook and Twitter.

The highlight of the evening will be the UK Lingerie Awards ceremony in the Grand Temple of the Freemasons’ Hall. The dramatic presentation, in association with Fashion Forms, will see 20 trophies presented to winners of categories ranging from Lingerie Brand of the Year to Department Store of the Year.

“December 4 is a date everybody needs in their diaries, and it is crucial that they don’t delay booking their tickets,” Trotta urged.
