Tissu Premier has presented three new colour themes for AW13/14: Darkness, Coldness and Rebirth.
The brooding power of sombre shades, faux-blacks and charcoals, is transcended by fiery crimsons and bull’s blood. Dark, earth-bound, mineral shadows rise up from light pools of deep reds and purples combined with warm, pale flesh tones. Hardline steampunk / nu-goth blacks battle it out with romantic, ghostly whites
in a baroque apocalypse of excess.
Severe military-inspired neutrals square up to cold primary colours in a palette that’s haunted by a dark naturalism. Flashy brights, minimal monotones and natural camo neutrals contrast to create the paradox of an artificial reality, the translation of a schizophrenic modern world that swings between gnawing despair and false hope.
A post-modern urban regeneration is underway. Subtly coloured pastels as ephemeral as dust mingle with accents of rust to evoke a forgotten world that’s frozen in the past. Stolen from memory, they transport us back to happier times like the faded images on picture postcards, brought back to life. The world is reinvented in a virtual summer of sweet innocence.
