Family run online lingerie retailer The Blossom room has reported a 95 percent increase in traffic over the past month, a 110 percent increase on the same period in the previous year.
Footfall is not the only thing that has seen growth in the past 12 months. Early sales figures indicate a 143 percents rise on 2011.
The independent retailer attributed its success to watching costs and building up relations with brands such as Gossard/Vanity Fair and Bestform.
Direct shipping reportedly played a large part, cutting ‘massive’ costs for warehousing and shipping.
A spokesperson for The Blossom Room said: “This is a short term solution for a bigger problem and like most companies if you want to grow (and The Blossom Room do…) then, we will have to seriously look at other more effective ways of sharpening that proverbial seam in the year to come.”
