SwimShow has announced that it will be introducing lingerie to its 2011 Miami Beach show.
The event, which is the largest and most comprehensive swimwear show in the world, is rumoured to be introducing the Lingerie Show in response to Mode City moving its date forward to July from next year.
SwimShow organizer Judy Stein said: “Due to the shifts in the global economy and the ever-changing structure of our industry, Swimwear Association Florida (SAF) believed that we needed to evolve our show based on the needs of our members.”
She added: “Our number one priority is to ensure a beneficial, productive and enjoyable experience for all our attendees. By adding Lingerie to our show mix we are in effect saving our retailers time and money and giving them the opportunity to source more product.”
The SwimShow acts as a resource for buyers from all swimwear categories, catering to designer boutiques, resort shops, specialty stores, surf shops, department stores and mass merchants.
The Lingerie Show will debut during the four days of SwimShow 2012 at the Miami Beach Convention Center from July 16 to 19, 2011.
