Gossard has reported a continued high level of demand for its Super Egoboost product, which has been retailing since December, 2011.
Sales of the push up bra, which took two years to bring to market, have reportedly smashed expectations and Gossard is busy fulfilling orders to ensure stock shortages are minimised.
The pre-Christmas level of sales has continued into the New Year, with high levels of purchases continuing through outlets including Figleaves, Asos and leading lingerie independents.
Gossard Managing Director Tony Jarvis said: “We’re thrilled sales have exceeded our expectations, as it shows the two years of development has helped us produce an outstanding new bra with real consumer appeal. We are now working hard on pushing through extra production to help meet this demand.
“Good news is that the Egoboost – which introduces larger cups sizes to the range – will launch in March. We’ve got exciting plans for really making the most of consumer interest in what we know is a fantastic product.”
Gossard is currently working behind-the-scenes on a special research project, enlisting support from the academic community to examine the product benefits of the Super Egoboost bra. Details are under wraps, but are set to be revealed soon.
