New lingerie retailer Sugarlesque Boutique has opened for business today in Kingley Court, London.
The store name is based on the Sugarlesque lingerie brand by Ruka Johnson and the project was set up in collaboration with Clare Willmer, headmistress of the London branch of the international life-drawing and cabaret phenomenon Dr.Sketchy’s Anti-Art School.
The Sugarlesque Boutique aims to supply ‘high quality’ lingerie, accessories and artwork to ‘discerning customers’. All its products are hand-picked, with glitter reportedly a recurring feature.
Brands stocked include Sugarlesque, What Katie Did, Luva Huva, Lou Lou Loves You, Lost at Sea and Miss Kitch.
An official launch party will take place this Saturday, 12th March, where members of the public will be able to browse the store’s lingerie selection, whilst drinking bubbly and sampling cakes. There will also reportedly be ‘free goodies’ at the event.
