The Spanish conglomerate Inditex has launched the first UK branch of women’s clothing brand Stradivarius.
Sitting below Zara on price points, the retailer is a directcompetitor for the growing youth end of the market. With 874 stores in 60 countries, the brand has particular appeal for women aged 20 to 35, and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. It is the sixth Inditex brand to launch into the UK.
The Westfield store will be the UK flagship store and follows Stradivarius’ successful e-commerce launch in the UK in October 2013.
Bill Giouroukos, Westfield’s Director of Operations, said: “Building on the existing long term relationship between Westfield and Inditex which see a number of their fashion brands at both London centres, the opening of Stradivarius will be an excellent addition to our strong fashion offer at Westfield Stratford City.”
