Stella McCartney has launched Stella Lace, a line of sweat pea pink lace lingerie which is designed to be sexy and have a modern approach to lingerie.
The range is made up of a bralette and bikini brief that aims to combine athletic silhouette with supportive striped elastic band detailing and feminine lace for a modern lingerie staple. The line will be stocked on Stella McCartney’s online store as well as retailers Le Bon Marche, Saks Fifth Avenue, Harrods and Net-a-porter.
The reveal comes alongside Stella McCartney’s launch of her Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, featuring comedian and talk show host Chelsea Handler. The campaign aims to raise awareness around the disease and encourage women to keep healthy and check themselves regularly.
Stella McCartney was cited by EPR Retail News as saying: “Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women all over the world and does not discriminate. While most people are aware of this terrible disease, many also do not take the steps to regularly get checked to detect it at its early stages.
“This set I designed is meant to serve as a reminder to women to consider their health and visit their doctor regularly. It not only looks and fits great, but is also an important healthy reminder.”
A percentage of the profits from the lingerie range will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the US, and the Linda McCartney Centre in Liverpool, UK.
