Stella McCartney has ended its partnership with lingerie and swimwear manufacturer Bendon after 10 years.
In an emailed statement, Bendon said the companies have “mutually and amicably” agreed not to renew their current licensing agreement when it expires in June 2018.
Bendon will work in partnership with the Stella McCartney team through to the end of the SS18 season and production will officially end on 30 June 2018.
Products will be available for delivery in the UK, Europe and the US until 31 December 2018 and in the Australia and New Zealand markets until 30 March 2019.
Italian textile firm ISA Spa will manufacture, develop and distribute Stella McCartney’s lingerie and swimwear collections as of AW18.
Commenting on the news, Bendon Group CEO Paul Cherny said: “We are incredibly proud of the lingerie and swimwear brands we have built in collaboration and partnership with Stella McCartney over the last 10 years. The strength of these brands are a reflection of Bendon’s 70 years of innovation and global category leadership.
“Today’s announcement has been mutually and amicably agreed, based on our focus on new partnerships and what will best suit our future individual strategies. We enter a transformational period in the history of Bendon with our pending Naked brand merge and NASDAQ listing. This exciting venture is a key pillar in our strategic direction of strengthening our global position and building our international presence and portfolio of brands.”
