Stars turn out as Intimissimi takes to the ice

A host of stars were in attendance at the Arena di Verona in Italy last week to see Italian lingerie giant Intimissimi showcase its AW15 collection in unique style.

After a month of catwalk shows in New York, London, Paris and Milan, the brand unveiled its latest designs on a cast of ice skaters and dancers in costumes by the legendary Patricia Field.

The cast included an Olympic line-up with Stephane Lambiel, Carolina Kostner and Princess Alexandra of Hanover taking to the rink to perform to the 20,000-strong crowd.

They played their part in an expertly choreographed and multi-sensory spectacle involving ice skating, modern dance, classical opera and popular music, with the show being opened by record-breaking UK solo artist Ellie Goulding. It is the second year that the brand has held its ‘Intimissimi on Ice’ event.

Sandro Veronesi, the Calzedonia Group’s founder and CEO who masterminded the production, was joined on the red carpet by some of the world’s most fashionable women, including Eva Herzigova, Carol Alt, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, and Caroline Vreeland.

Current face of Intimissimi Shlomit Malka, who has embodied the brand’s sensuality over the last two seasons, was on the red carpet to introduce the eight brand new Intimissimi muses, who were discovered through the innovative social media casting #ImAStory.
