Swimwear brand Speedo has collaborated with From Somewhere on a new, couture gown, created with surplus fabric from Speedo’s Fastskin Super Elite.
The finished piece is the result of a partnership between From Somewhere’s Orsola de Castro and Falmouth University graduate Rebecca Jayne.
The gown is made with off cuts of special edition suits, designed in different colours for the Speedo sponsored swimiming teams of the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Germany, Spain, Japan, Canada, Netherlands and Israel.
The projects is a follow on from an earlier collaboration between Speedo and From Somewhere, which saw the companies create a dress collection made of material from the banned Speedo LZR Racer Elite suit. The range was exhibited at the Esthetica exhibition at London Fashion Week.
