Emerging swimwear designer and digital influencer Alexandra Miro has used her social media marketing know-how to launch an ecommerce website brimming with creative content.
The designer’s 36,700 Instagram followers have already had a sneak peek at her debut collection, and now they’re able to shop the full range for the first time.
The new site features an online magazine on fitness, fashion and food – an extension of Miro’s popular lifestyle blog.
The website has launched in conjunction with the #AMWOMAN campaign, featuring diverse digital influencers of different shapes and sizes modelling the new collection on Instagram.
The Alexandra Miro swimwear range is designed to lift and shape the bottom and emphasise the bust, with a Brazilian-inspired design, using minimal fabric.
It features neoprene fabric in a palette of monochrome and red, moulded cups, plunging necklines and cut-outs.
As a former lingerie retailer, Miro’s aim is to reinvent the functional and aesthetic elements of lingerie in one-piece swimsuits.
“I’ve worked with lingerie brands and I have seen the structure and support that goes into a piece. That is something that I wanted to bring to swimwear, which I felt was lacking,” she explained in an interview with Lingerie Insight in November.
“Swimsuits can be very frumpy and boxy, so I wanted bring the delicacy and detail of lingerie into swimwear.”
