Sloggi, the bodywear brand owned by Triumph International, has hired a new general manager for the UK, Nordic countries and the Benelux market.
Alex Cara will join the company on September 4 with 30 years experience in business retail, having previously worked for Nike as retail director and in various general management positions at lifestyle brands such as Esprit and New Look.
Most recently, Cara held the position of senior vice president for Pandora’s retail group, managing over 1,000 stores in 39 countries.
Commenting on the new role, Cara said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for the Sloggi brand, with the new brand vision and strategy ramping up in 2018 and several global launches of new product innovations in the pipeline. I can’t wait to join the team and help cement Sloggi’s vision of becoming the world’s most revered everyday comfort brand.”
The new general manager for Cluster North will be based at Sloggi’s London head quarters.
The news follows the announcement that the Triumph Group is undergoing a global transformation, which will see the Triumph and Sloggi brands operate as separate business units with their own dedicated sales and marketing teams.
The aim is to capitalise on Sloggi’s growth potential and build one global brand.
