Luxury brands have developed hybrid lingerie lines inspired by sportswear for AW17.
Last season, we saw an explosion of high-performance wear for active lifestyles, with fashionable leggings and crop tops being presented for everyday wear.
For AW17, more glamorous ensembles have been developed that can be worn to the office, the gym or sophisticated evening do.
Brands like Maison Lejaby, Turo and Naoko, Rossell England and Undress Code have incorporated elastic and fabric sections used by sportswear manufacturers into their premium lingerie lines.
They also feature pinstripes and a monochrome colour palette inspired by workwear.
Eurovet, organisers of the Salon International de la Lingerie trade show, explained: “In 2017, the essence of female performance is being able to achieve a good work/life balance with enough time to self-care.
“With extending the number of hours in a day being out of the question, we need to find new ways of saving time, without compromising on well-being and beauty. Activewear has emerged as the solution.”
