Shop Direct to match charity funds raised at Lingerie Street event

Lingerie brands helped rack up hundreds of pounds for charity at the annual Lingerie Street event hosted by Shop Direct last week.

Brands including Gossard, Panache, Dorina and Magic Bodyfashion gathered at Shop Direct’s headquarters in Speke on Thursday to showcase their latest collections and host bake sales, lingerie giveaways and raffles.

In one afternoon, they raised £710 for Claire House Children’s Hospice. This will be matched by Shop Direct Group, which owns Very and Littlewoods, bringing the grand total to £1420.

Commenting on the success of the event, Curvy Kate national account manager Sally Courtney said: “We were so pleased to be part of another successful charity event run by Shop Direct. It’s great to see all the brands working together and the Shop Direct team digging deep and getting involved for such a great cause.

“As with previous years, we had the pleasure of bra fitting and found the whole day a great way to connect and showcase our new ranges. We’re looking forward to next year already.”

Graham Clarke of Ultimo commented: “We loved being part of such a fantastic event in aid of such a great cause. We at Ultimo relish being in front of real woman and offering our expert fitting advice. As so often is the case, many of our visitors were actually wearing the wrong size.”
