Scantilly by Curvy Kate has announced the winner of its romantic flash-fiction competition launched in collaboration with Mills & Boon.
Danielle Shoebottom from Herefordshire will see her writing published for the first time in Scantilly Tales, a Mills & Boon eBook, which is now available online.
Scantilly Tales is a series of steamy short stories that follow a sexy female character as she receives six seductive packages from a mysterious figure.
Six tantalising tales were released in October and November and fans were encouraged to conclude the story. Shoebottom was one of over 100 entrants to submit their versions of the ending.
The judging panel was made up of industry experts such as erotic author Heidi Rice, Scantilly brand manager Hannah Isichei and Mills & Boon editor Charlotte Mursell.
Isichei said: “We had great fun reading the entries but we felt that Danielle’s conclusion gave the series the ending it deserved and we hope everyone who reads it enjoys it as much as we did.”
Scantilly said the competition has impacted the brand’s social media following, with Facebook fans increasing by 171% and Instagram followers by 44.2% in the month of the competition.
