Sales of Speedo Sculpture have increased by 46 percent over the past 12 months, according to development manager Richard Ellis.
At the Moda trade show in Birmingham, Ellis told Lingerie Insight: “It has been going incredibly well. We are 46 percent up on the previous 12 months.”
The development manager attributed the growth in sales to identifying a ‘massive hole in the market in the health and well being sector’.
“We plugged it,” he said. “Our underwired products, which go up to an H cup in a sports style, are a prime example of this.”
Ellis also praised the brand’s ‘insights’ team for its work in gathering information, which he claimed gave Speedo a competitive edge.
Particular interest has reportedly been shown in Speedo Sculture’s underwired Premier Panel, which is due for delivery this August.
All Speedo Sculpture products incorporate the INVISTA’s Xtra Life LYCRA® fibre. INVISTA is also an exhibitor at the trade show, which is running until February 21 at the NEC, Birmingham.
