Sainsbury’s is relaunching its clothing line Tu, which was started in 2004 and took in record sales of £680 million last year.
The slogan “Live Your Style”’ will support the relaunch, which centres on improving design and quality whilst focusing on trends. New collections will be created by 30 in house designers, who will add items every six weeks. A new girl’s clothing line will also be released, and the in-store shopping experience will be improved with the addition of staffed fitting rooms.
Sainsbury’s clothing director James Brown was quoted in the Scotsman as saying it’s “a very exciting time for us. We’ve had outstanding performance over the past couple of years and as we approach the 10th anniversary, we’re relaunching the brand with huge passion, commitment and significant investment.”
395 stores will stock the new Tu line in September, which is the seventh largest clothing range by volume in the UK.
