Russian department store TSUM takes on Bordelle

Leading Moscow fashion department store TSUM has chosen to take on London based bodywear label Bordelle.

Bordelle was singled out by TSUM’s buying yeam, last January, in Paris, as the only new lingerie brand to be added to the store’s portfolio of international labels, including Myla, Stella McCartney and D&G underwear.

The store, which will be Bordelle’s third Russian stockist, will be taking on the brand’s S & M inspired mainline and bridal collections.

The label is already stocked in the country’s Mon Amour and Machiavelli Boutique stores.

To date, Bordelle has been a regular feature in the Russian media with articles and editorials in Vogue, Tatler and Elle to name but a few.

The label’s online shop has experienced a sharp rise in direct sales to the Russian and Ukrainian markets with a specific focus on the bespoke and bridal ranges.

TSUM head buyer Alina Klementieva said: “The unique style and credibility of Bordelle lead me to find out more. I was looking for a luxury, niche brand that would push boundaries but hold a sophisticated elegance to meet the Russian demand.”

Bordelle’s debut bridal collection is set to launch in store, this May, with the mainline collection to follow in the summer.
