Rigby & Peller is collaborating with swimwear brand Maryan Mehlhorn and The World Land Trust on a new environmental project.
This month, the purchase of one swimsuit or one bikini from the Maryan Mehlhorn range will help save one square metre of the rainforest.
To mark the occasion, the retailer has decked out the window of its King’s Road store with green foliage.
Rigby & Peller marketing manager Georgia Cordes said: “We’ve had a really good response from all our store locations over the weekend. Many customers have stopped to read the signs and have come into stores to enquire about trying on and purchasing the product. It’s great to see R&P clients are not only environmentally aware, but also taking action by voting with their feet and their wallet to show support for an environmental concern such as saving the rainforests.”
The World Land Trust is an international conservation organisation that takes direct action to save rainforest and other wildlife habitats with on-site monitoring and reports on a regular basis. By providing funds for partner organisations they can purchase land and establish permanent wildlife areas.
