Supermodel Rosie Huntington Whiteley is set to design her own range of lingerie for high street retailer M & S.
Whiteley, who has formerly done campaigns for the likes of Agent Provocateur and Victoria’s Secret, has been the face of the company’s Autograph range for the past two seasons.
Her new collection, which will be called Rosie for Autograph, will form a ‘natural extension’ of this existing relationship.
Huntington Whiteley said: "M&S is an iconic British brand, adored by many, so I’m very excited to be launching my debut lingerie line with them.
"I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the design team to create my dream collection, and I’m looking forward to a fun and creative time ahead."
M & S executive director for clothing Kate Bostock added: “We are so pleased to have Rosie on board to design her first collection for us, she really understands beautiful lingerie and what works on the body. With all her modelling experience she has great eye for colour and style which, coupled with our extensive knowledge in lingerie design and technique, is a winning formula that we can’t wait to share with our customers.”
The new collection is expected to include 33 pieces, encompassing silk lingerie sets, camisoles, French knicker sets and kimono style robes.
Inspired by the 1920s era, the pieces will feature rose-print motifs and deco-inspired detailing.
It will launch in select M & S stores around the country and online from September, 2012.
