Rigby & Peller launches in Guildford

Premium lingerie retailer, Rigby & Peller is set to launch a new boutique in Guildford, Surrey, on July 20.

Rigby & Peller has invited Guildford’s ladies to attend the launch and will offer one customer who visits on opening day the chance of winning a free lingerie set.

Customers will also have the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary fitting and viewing of the extensive range including lingerie, swimwear and nightwear pieces.

Rigby & Peller Guildford store manager Amanda Menikou said: "As a local to the area myself, the opening of Rigby & Peller Guildford is an exciting addition to this thriving shopping location. I’ve been working for Rigby & Peller, helping ladies achieve a flawless silhouette, intermittently for the past 20 years and cannot wait to bring this experience to Guildford. The new Guilford store is the latest in a series of new outlets to be opened by the luxury retailer, the majority stake in which was bought by Belgian group Van de Velde last year.

Van de Velde attributed its 0.9 percent growth in consolidated turnover in the first half of 2012 to the strong performance of Rigby & Peller in Europe. The business saw an eight percent increase in turnover over the period due to the opening of its first stores on the Continent, located in Germany and Spain.

The retail turnover of Rigby & Peller in the UK contributed for an amount of £ 4.5m, representing a growth of about 4.5 percent on a store-to-store basis.
