The inaugural Retail Design Expo opens in London today.
The new event, which is free to attend, will be packed with market-leading suppliers showcasing essential visual display and merchandising tools from LED lights and digital screens to mannequins and drapes.
There will be more than 50 conference sessions held over the two-day exhibition, with speakers from major retailers revealing new insights, innovations and trends in visual merchandising.
Speakers include Selfridges senior design manager Carlotta Jacoby, who will share her experience in mastering 3D window displays; House of Fraser director of brand Tony Holdway, who will advise on better understanding your customers and their needs; and Lesley Taylor, designer and lecturer at the London College of Fashion, who will discuss the basics of visual merchandising.
There’ll also be live demonstrations where visitors can watch visual merchandising specialists demonstrate their craft, and a Future Laboratory Trends Lab will host 15-minute one-to-one sessions with forecasters, analysts and visual editors explaining trends that are set to impact the retail sector in 2015/16.
The Retail Design Expo will take place at Olympia in West Kensington until 5pm tomorrow.
