Pop open the champagne because the wait is over and Lingerie Insight can finally reveal the brands and retailers that have been crowned the 2016 UK Lingerie Award winners.
More than 100 firms entered this year’s UK Lingerie Awards, which underwent a revamp for 2016, with exciting new categories and a brand new voting system.
This year’s entrants were judged on the strength of their business as a whole, with winners being recognised for their ability to demonstrate financial growth, good customer service, creativity and innovation.
Prestigious titles include Business of the Year (small, medium and large), Innovation of the Year, Distributor of the Year, as well as people awards like Buyer of the Year and Designer of the Year.
We also introduced the Rising Star of the Year award into the mix in 2016, to put the spotlight on emerging designers that are set to break into the industry, and special accolades that recognise excellence in fit and customer service.
The 2016 judging process was split into three parts: entrants were asked to fill in an online application and the Lingerie Insight team then shortlisted five finalists per category.
Senior members of the industry were later invited to vote for their winners via an exclusive online ballot.
While there can only be one winner in each category, the hard work of all the finalists over the last year deserves huge applause.
In such a strong and competitive industry, it is truly satisfying to see so many businesses striving to become the best in their field through quality design, powerful marketing campaigns and excellent customer service.
So, a massive congratulations to all the winners and runners-ups – the bar has definitely been raised this year – we look forward to seeing which individuals and brands are up to the challenge of reaching it in 2017!
