Ladies pyjamas made it into the top five list of the most-searched-for items at Marks & Spencer this week, as the retailer counts down to Christmas.
These popular stocking fillers lept up the charts to position number five, behind the Paddington Bear toy, slippers, the M&S Beauty advent calendar and ladies dressing gowns.
The news was announced in a report marking the end of the second week in Marks & Spencer’s Christmas countdown.
M&S will be hoping for another record rise in revenue this Christmas, after the retailer reported a 3.1% increase in clothing sales in the 13 weeks to 31 December 2016.
This marked the company’s first rise in clothing sales in two years.
But last month, M&S was rocked by the departure of Jo Jenkins, the director of the clothing and beauty department, just weeks after starting in her new role.
Jenkins, who joined M&S in 2013, left to become the new CEO of White Stuff.
