Pudding, a specialist retail lingerie consultancy, has launched a new range of lower cost consultancy and training services.
The budget offering is especially designed for retailers and manufacturers who are newly established or finding cash flow difficult.
Owner Helen Masters said: “Many new businesses or businesses that are going through tough times find it very difficult to justify or find the cash to bring in expert help – and the irony is that’s the time they need it most.
“There are still too many businesses in our industry who are struggling, or who would really benefit from some expert advice but are strapped for cash so we have added a range of services to help those who need it most and are on a tight budget.”
Pudding’s new low-cost services include express one-to-one sessions to review a business as a whole or focus on a specific business issue; electronic training course on topics including buying, marketing and SEO; websites audits and SEO packages; and a ‘business for sale service’ for manufacturers and retailers looking to sell their business.
Prices start from £195 for each service.
Masters said Pudding has found a way of keeping costs down by offering express versions of its fuller service and electronic versions of training courses.
“It means we pack a lot in as we cover all the areas that retailers or manufacturers need to think about in one session, from business planning to proposition development, pricing, how to attract more customers and how to convert more customers into buyers,” she explained.
“Clients go away with a clear direction on what they need to do to improve or launch their business. We can of course offer follow up support if people need it, but a lot of clients just need someone to put them on the right track – it’s a small investment in the scheme of things and we’ve had feedback from clients to say it has been invaluable.”
Pudding, a former successful lingerie retailer based in Reading, was transformed into a consultancy service in January 2016.
Masters took the business down a new path after starting a family and deciding to take a step back from her seven-day working week.
She now focuses on using her expertise to help other lingerie, nightwear and swimwear retailers to excel by offering consultancy and training services.
