Pudding, a former lingerie retailer based in Reading, has been transformed into a consultancy and training business for the intimate apparel industry.
The company, which closed its boutique in 2014, now offers exclusive services for independent and multiple retailers, web businesses and retail brands who want to succeed and grow in the UK market.
Helen Masters, co-founder of Pudding and director of Pudding Retail Lingerie Consultancy and Training said: “After spending eight years starting up and running a very successful lingerie and swimwear retailer, I started a family and decided to take a step back from seven-days-a-week-retail.
“I decided to take the business in a new direction, focussing on using my expertise to help other lingerie, nightwear and swimwear retailers to excel by offering consultancy and training services.”
Pudding’s services include bespoke consultancy, bespoke training, generic training courses delivered face to face or electronically and a comprehensive outsourcing service to assist in tasks such as mystery shopping, marketing campaigns and research.
It also offers a lingerie retail operations manual, ideal for start-ups.
Pudding’s Lingerie Retail Careers Service provides a recruitment and selection service for intimate apparel retailers, while its Lingerie Retail Development Programme trains newcomers to the industry in all aspects of the business.
The firm’s services also extend to bigger chains – its Maximising Department Store Sales and Service training module is designed to help multiples to apply some of the more proactive selling techniques that make successful independents so successful.
